Flat Cut: A kitchen knife designed by Thomas Bastide

Design: Thomas Bastide, designer for Baccarat, work also for other major luxury brands such as Hennessy, Christofle, Puiforcat, Odiot and Ercuis, Hermés, Lampe Berger…

This new kitchen knife finds its originality in its asymetric shape and its inclinated handle.
The blade is emphasized. Object becomes simple and pure. The handle thicker on a side, makes the knife very pleasant to hold.

Claude Dozorme, in collaboration with Thomas Bastide, offers us 8 models of Flat Cut kitchen knives.

First of all, these kitchen knives are distinguished by their original shape. Like the “L’Âme” knife, the Flat Cut kitchen knife has a one-sided handle. Indeed, when the knife lands on a flat surface, the blade does not touch the surface because the handle is slightly inclined. Thus, the blade undergoes less shock. Moreover, the handle gives this kitchen knife an excellent handle. It is a very ergonomic kitchen knife.

Furthermore, the steel used for this kitchen knife is the high quality X50CrMoV15 stainless steel. This knife has an excellente cutting-edge performance. Moreover, the sharpening of this knife is very precise. So, the knife is very easy to resharpen

Each kitchen knife is laser-marked with the signature of renowned designer Thomas Bastide. He offers us here a modern kitchen knife, aesthetic and ergonomic.

These kitchen knives are made in the Claude Dozorme cutlery workshops. Thus, it guarantees a 100% French artisanal production. These knives benefit from the century-old know-how of the Master Cutler and are manufactured in the respect of the cutlery tradition.
